I have been studying the Bible for twenty-five years and I continue to hunger for the Word of God. Jesus continues to lay parables at my feet to illustrate how He is working in my life one day at a time. As an artist, the Lord speaks to me through visual images, which I can see as parables that teach me how God cares about even the smallest details. The visual images reflect how the Word of God is alive. My devotional is place where I want to share these images and thoughts.
Living abroad taught me many lessons. I came home after being away from my country for ten years. I think I learned to appreciate everything even more, especially differences. I love different cultures, backgrounds and traditions. I learned that it doesn’t matter where we live because we bring the sense of home with us. I think I will have wanderlust for the rest of my life. Yet I have learned through all the disruption of moving, how to create comfortable places and decorate them from my heart. My goal is to decorate this corner in Blogland from the heart of Christ and from the Word of God.
I have been on a spiritual quest for most of my life. Studying everything that seemed spiritual. I gave my life to Christ twenty-five years ago and have never wavered in my decision. Once I had given my heart to the Lord, I searched for a church that would speak to my spirit. It was not until moving to Hong Kong that my faith became deeply rooted. The church I found was alive in the people I met, whether Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish or Christian. No matter what path they followed as long as God was the focus of their lives I learned how to apply that mindfulness to my own faith. I am not a teacher, but I want to share how Christ has worked in my life to help me through trials and to teach me to feel the joy of the Lord even in the middle of adversity.
I wanted to have a mindful religion, one that would work for me in a practical way. I go to worship with other believers in Jesus Christ at a nearby church, but the church I found that speaks to my spirit is within me through the Holy Spirit. I am fed daily by spending time with the Lord, and reading the Word of God in the Bible, and in devotionals. I believe that we are all living Bibles and churches, the key lies in giving our hearts to God. Asking Jesus Christ to come into our lives, and giving Him our heart begins an adventure that will lead to fulfillment and purpose.

What a find!!! I was just looking for beautiful paintings and I end up here. Praise God. I am touched by your talent and love for Jesus. I also love Him and am so glad to have “wandered” accidentally on purpose to your site! I find it very encouraging. I am sure I will return often. Thank you for sharing. Kathy

Love the Chinese Gramas!
Such absolutely wonderful paintings. I am so much in awe of people who paint – and what you have done here with this blog – it is glorious. Thank you so much.
